Querini-Stampalia installation
A typographic installation realised in the Querini-Stampalia palace in Venice, inside in the Carlo Scarpa's exhibition hall, during the "Typo Lab" workshop by Leonardo Sonnoli at IUAV, University of Venice. For the project we have printed some phrases, taken from a short story written by Tommaso Landolfi, on vinyl acetate sheets and put them upon the neon lights of the room, so the effect was that of lightboxes.
The story would like to reflect about the possibility that using a well known and pre-established language may result in an expressive limit for the writer.
We decided to translate this reflection in the visual field by inventing two completely abstracts alphabets.
Realised in collaboration with Enrico De Napoli, Irene Bacchi and Federico Bovara.
